There’s something about Tombstone, Arizona that makes history feel alive. From the weathered buildings and historic streets to the sound of gunfire during a reenactment, it’s a place where the stories of the Old West are still being told every day.

For me, photographing Tombstone is especially personal because I don’t just experience its Western history from behind the camera—I also take part in it as a Western reenactor. Being on both sides of the lens gives me a unique appreciation for the details, characters, gunfights, and traditions that bring this historic town to life.

This gallery captures Tombstone as I experience it: the history, the people, the gunfighting, and the unmistakable spirit of the American West. My goal is to preserve not only what Tombstone looks like, but a little of what it feels like to step back into the days of the Old West.
