Photography, for me, is about capturing the moments that deserve to be remembered—the intensity of competition, the character of the Arizona landscape, the personality behind an automobile, or the history still alive in the streets of the Old West.

Arizona is home, and much of my photography is influenced by the things I've enjoyed throughout my life. Growing up with a love for the Arizona outdoors, camping, exploring, and spending time in nature gave me an appreciation for landscapes and wildlife that continues today. Now, being able to experience those same places with my family makes photographing them even more meaningful.

Family — My Why

Behind everything I do is my family.

I've been fortunate to share 22 years of my life and 19 years of marriage with my wife Jennifer, who has been beside me through the different chapters, challenges, adventures, and goals we've taken on together. Along with our two beautiful children Shyanna & John, they are the foundation of my life and the biggest source of my drive and motivation.

Family has shaped the way I look at photography as well. It has taught me just how quickly moments pass and how valuable the memories we create together become over time. A photograph can take an ordinary moment and preserve it long after that moment has passed.

Whether I'm building Bevington Photography, standing on the sidelines with a camera, exploring the Arizona outdoors, or pursuing the next goal I've set for myself, my family is the reason I continue pushing forward.

They are my support, my inspiration, and most importantly, my why.

Sports Are My Specialty

While I enjoy working across several styles of photography, sports photography is my specialty and one of my biggest passions behind the camera.

There's something special about freezing a moment that happens in a fraction of a second—the crack of the bat, the play at the plate, the determination on an athlete's face, or the celebration after a big play. Those moments disappear almost instantly, but a photograph can preserve them for years.

As someone who genuinely enjoys sports, I don't just photograph the game. I'm always watching for the emotion, intensity, reactions, and small moments surrounding the action that help tell the complete story.

Beyond the Sidelines

My photography isn't limited to sports. I enjoy photographing wildlife, events, automotive subjects, Arizona landscapes, and historical locations, each for a different reason.

Wildlife and outdoor photography reconnect me with the Arizona outdoors I grew up loving. Automotive photography gives me the opportunity to capture the craftsmanship, personality, and details that make each vehicle unique. Event photography is about documenting moments naturally so people can look back and remember not just what happened, but how it felt.

I also have a particular appreciation for Tombstone and Arizona's Old West history. As a Western reenactor myself, I enjoy photographing gunfights, reenactments, historic locations, and the people who help keep that history alive. Being both behind the camera and occasionally part of the action gives me a different perspective on capturing the character of the Old West.

My Approach

I want my photographs to feel authentic.

Whether I'm photographing an athlete competing, wildlife in its natural environment, a family event, a classic vehicle, or a Western gunfight, my goal is to capture genuine moments rather than simply create technically good photographs.

The best images tell a story. They capture expressions, movement, atmosphere, details, and moments that might otherwise be missed.

That's what I strive to provide through Bevington Photography—images that give you a reason to stop, look a little longer, and remember the story behind them.
